• Successful completion of Irish FA's National Coaching Certificate or Irish FA Level 1 within the last six years (only applicable if the candidate is from Northern Ireland) • The Irish FA advise candidates to be proactively coaching at a football club, as the focus is based around player development.

The new UEFA C Diploma course was first run at The Dub (Queen's Sport) in south Belfast last month, with 31 candidates taking part. The UEFA-accredited course prepares coaches for small sided games, looking at principles of play in 5v5, 7v7 and 9v9 formats.

Uefa have recently unveiled the launch of their C License course which will give even more coaches the opportunity to become Uefa certified coaches.
